With access to our well equipped fabrication & machine shop we can take on a variety of work and we have been involved in many projects across the Rail & Transportation sectors (some of which are listed below) :-
We have manufactured and supplied complete ceiling & lighting systems, Socket Fascias, Bulkhead structures. Filter boxes, Seat Rails along with many more items for the MK III overhaul.
We have carried out a complete overhaul of the internal handrails & racks for Nottingham City Transports Skylink Service, This included collection & delivery to depot.
We were asked by NET if we could supply an improved axle removal stand for use on their trams. Having identified their exact requirement we were able to manufacture and supply a new and improved system.
We have manufactured & repaired many items for NCT that have either been costly to replace or on very long lead times, quite often being able to turn these around in a day or so.
We have been involved in supplying many products for the refurbishment of East Midlands Trains 158s by Delta Rail. This has included manufacturing parts that are now obsolete, Rubber Gaiters & Locks, Aluminium anodised door runners & new improved headlight cluster lenses to name a few.
Sheffield Supertram selected us to enter into a long term agreement to refurbish their seat backs & bases.
Belvoir Engineering were tasked with refurbishing the Hand Rails & Seat Grab Handles for Chiltern Railways complete fleet of Class 168 rolling stock. This was a project that lasted 18 months, the components were made from a mix of Materials, Aluminium, Steel & Cast Aluminium. The process involved Chemically stripping all components, In some cases following the stripping process several items had to be repaired and re welded. Prepping for the new finish, Powder Coating and then applying a lacquer as part of our powder coating service, 2 colours were used, Blue & Metallic Silver. We had a short period of time to turn around up to 4 coaches worth of components in less than 2 weeks. This time also included the stripping out and refitting of all the components at Brush Traction in Loughborough. We were also able to make a complete set of replacement parts from scratch without drawings using the originals parts as templates.
